Q: What causes stress cracks in windows?

A: Stress cracks typically have nothing to do with the frame or the welds. When any kind of stress is put on a pane of glass ie: twisting, pulling, extreme temperature variances, and expansion or contraction, a crack can run from a small imperfection in the edge of the glass. This will usally occur with in the first few weeks after the glass is cut and exposed to these conditions.

Q: I thought Showcase® Windows had a lifetime warranty?

A: Showcase® Windows has a limited lifetime warranty that covers defective material.  However, after 2 years the service trip and labor costs are chargeable.  Kindly refer to our Warranty for further and all details.
